Nyligen blev jag intervjuad för 18 minuter (gratistidning här i Uppsala). I går blev den publicerad.

I was recently interviewed for a local paper. It is a short profile piece.

I just got back from a weekend trip to London. I really like the city and there is always lots to see and buy ;)

This trip was pure a pleasure trip. Good food, relaxing and lots of shopping. The january sale was still on. I go in to a art supply store and it´s 50-75% off on almost everything ... Now I have sketchbooks to last me a lifetime or at least till next London trip.

I hoped I could go to the NoBrow event in Hayward gallery on thursday but delayed flight and a change of hotel stopped that. I went there later to see the McBess/Ugo Gattoni drawing and Luke Pearsons Hilda-figure made by Feltmistress! I took some photos and got some great books.

Break out your old red/green 3Dglasses!

Even though we are swedes my girlfriend and I are big DrWho fans since before the new series. We visited the DrWho Experience last year. We enjoyed it so much we went again.

Between all the pubs, restaurants and shopping we managed one proper museum visit. National Portrait Gallery. I haven´t been there since the 80s. It was great to see the famous paintings again.

One shop I really wanted to visit was GOSH comics new store. I visited the old one every time I´ve been to London (first time late 80s). I was really impressed with the new store. Great space, nice, open and inviting.

My feet are sore and aching but I want to go back soon!

Den nya Mupparnafilmen har haft premiär i USA men kommer tyvärr inte till Sverige på ett tag. Under tiden kan man njuta av en samling hyllningsbilder gjorda av svenska tecknare. Även jag har bidragit men allas vår favorit komiker: Fozzie the bear!

Bokmässan 2011

Bok & Biblioteksmässan i Göteborg gick av stapeln i helgen. Jag åkte ner och deltog torsdag och fredag. Det är alltid lika skoj. Det blev möten med både förlag och nya och gamla vänner.

Dennis som gör serien om Viktor Kaspersson fick sina ex av Vondur som tack för sitt kanonsnygga bidrag. Jag har äntligen blivit zombiefierad av Jimmy Wallin! Mårten tog emot Nils Holgersson-placketen! Stort grattis! Jag fick en liten pratstund med Valhallas egen Peter Madsen och en snygg teckning. Katten Nils-Johanna poserar med sitt zombieporträtt som Dennis gjort. Jag hann med ett besök på Göteborgs konsthall där man nu har en fantastisk Jan Lööf-utställning.

Det är spikat att jag skall göra ett gäng nya böcker åt Nypon förlag. Först blir det fler böcker om Erik (bok 7 och 8 ligger på ritbordet). Jag skall även illustrera Mårten Melins nya böcker om Vera. Ett riktigt spännande projekt.

Det blir en kul höst!

I helgen var det SPX (seriemässa) i Stockholm. Jag var där tillsammans med Daniel och Rolf för att visa och sälja våra serier. Detta var faktiskt första gången jag lyckats ta mig iväg till SPX. Mängder med folk. Massor av kul serier.

Det var inte bara svenska serieskapare där. Bryan Lee O´Malley (Scott Pilgrim) och Hope Larson (Mercury) var där. Det skulle vara tyska tecknare där (bl.a. Nicholas Mahler) men jag såg inte skymten av dem. Dock bör sägas att jag satt fast bakom vårt bord mest hela tiden.

1000 Ögon fick ett bra mottagande utanför Uppsala. Många var intresserade och kom fram och pratade med oss. Vi tog även chansen att avslöja releasedatum och titel på tredje och sista delen: 10 september och namnet är VONDUR!

Nu ser vi fram emot Karlstad ComiCon i slutet på maj!

Seriemässa i helgen SPX

Tjenare!
Det var ett tag sedan jag skrev något här men det har varit ganska fullt upp.

Sedan någon vecka delar jag kontor/ateljé med en mycket trevlig prick. Nu får mitt ritbord äntligen en chans att användas så som det skall.

Uppdragen jag har jobbat med den senaste tiden har varit väldigt varierade. En broschyr åt Variegata plantskola. Formgivning till en ny utställning på Museum Gustavianum. Ett par olika knappar åt olika kunder. Illustrationer åt Baskerville Hall Club samt rollspelet Bortom. Just nu ligger två olika barnteateraffischer på ritbordet samt ett lite hemligt projekt som blir klart i april. Två nya Erik-böcker ligger och väntar på sin tur.

Jag har länge letat efter ett bra sätt att sälja min knappar, affischer och böcker på nätet. Nu har jag hittat det hos Signerat.se. Kolla in min lilla affär hos dem.

I morgon, lördag, släpps andra delen av serien 1000 ögon. Hrafnir heter uppföljaren till höstens Tupilak. Om du har vägarna förbi SerieZonen i Uppsala så har Daniel och jag signering där från klockan 12.

Green X-mas

Two days till X-mas here in Sweden. (we celebrate on the 24th)

As an early present: a fan-art piece. I'm really looking forward to the Green Lantern movie. Not that I'm a huge Lantern-fan but it looks like a fun film.

Here the Green Lantern gets noticed by a bunch of (yellow) monsters. I have no idea if this scene is in the movie but wouldn't it be cool?

Julmarknad i Uppsala

På julmarknaden i Stenhagens kulturhus på lördag (4:e december) kan man bland annat hitta mina snygga saker! Affischer, böcker, t-shirts, presentpapper och inte minst knappar! Bra priser!

Det är riktiga kap man kan göra. Chokladjakten & Monster på vita duken för 20kr/st. Massor av olika knappar för otroliga 10kr/st! Snygga barn-t-shirts direkt från Museum Gustavianum. Mysigt, unikt presentpapper. Uppsalaserierna Anna & Blomsterkungen samt 1000 ögon: Tupilak! Och mycket mer!

X-mas is around the corner. Time to think about presents and to find a nice wrapping paper.

I have designed a fun paper full of monsters doing what monsters really like doing best: reading. The wrapping paper will be for sale. I'm just figuring out the postage and best way to mail them.

We are under way with the next issue of the comicbook. It's called "Hrafnir" and is the second part (of three). In stores in february 2011.

I'm also working on the pictures for the next two books about Erik. This time he gets in trouble in a circus and at sea.

There are also a couple of secret projects going on but we'll see where they go.

På lördag (23e okt) håller Stadsbiblioteket i Uppsala en Serie och animationsdag. Daniel och jag kommer vara där och prata om vår serie 1000 ögon: Tupilak.

Försäljningen har gått bra och vi skall strax skicka andra upplagan till tryck. Arbetet med nästa del i berättelsen om Edgar rullar på. Den skall komma ut i februari.

I våras illustrerade jag två böcker om Erik den vilde skrivna av Torsten Bengtsson. Även där har försäljningen gått bra och snart skall jag sätta igång arbetet med två nya böcker i serien.

I've been working on a comicbook together with Daniel Thollin this summer. It's a adventure/horror storie set in my hometown Uppsala. It's in swedish but if you would like a copy get in touch with me.

Nu på lördag (11:e september) släpper Daniel Thollin och jag vår nya serie, 1000 Ögon: Tupilak, som vi ger ut i samarbete med SerieZonen i Uppsala. Berättelsen är en äventyrs-/skräckhistoria i Uppsalamiljö.

I'm helping our local comicbook dealer at UppCon. I finally got my hands on a white Munny. They are hard to find in Sweden and I've wanted to try and paint one for a while now. We'll see when I worked up enough courage to paint it. ;)
